Airport, why?

Wake up 5:10 AM, leave Hood River at 5:45AM, (after warming up car for 15mins) Stop for gas in Troutdale, arrive airport at 6:45 for 7:25 AM flight, after standing in line to check bag, and check in. I am informed that I did not arrive at least 45 mins so I am not allowed to check in. Awesome.

Good news is that I can fly to seattle, lay over for a few hours, fly to LAX, lay over for about 8 hours and then arrive at sometime next week. I don't think so, booked for same flight tomorrow morning. Hopefully I make that one...............

And I was just bragging last week how I never miss a flight..

(Fort Stevens, Oregon Coast, Sunset!)
A little vacation in the Pacific Northwest for me. Got to love it out here! Just spent a few days on the coast, Astoria. Damn it is cold out here.
Now I am in Hood River, skiing tomorrow. We were going to go today, but the -23 (with the wind chill sort of kept us away.

12x10x11=0

12 inches of snow, hiking for 1o hours while covering 11 miles does not equal arriving to the summit of Mt. Garfield. We turned back at 2 and still hiked the last few miles in the dark. What a long grueling day. I never thought it would have been that hard. So sore right now, but still an awesome time!

Did you know that my digital camera has an internal memory and it stores a few pictures in the camera without a memory card!! I found these from almost a year ago.

Sunrise on the Seacoast!

Well, I have not been diligent about blogging. I don't have interweb at my house and it is tough to get a good "free" signal. Right now I have to hang out of the window to get it. Awesome. Shouldn't interweb be free? Maybe if Al Gore had been elected president........

So, one year ago I was in the Florida Keys enjoying turkey. So sunny and warm. This year in New England. First Turkey day up here since 2000. Wow, I feel old.

Why does turkey day mean eating as much food as one can?

Looks like snow up in the mountains tomorrow! Finally. Not enough to ski yet, but looks like Sunday should be a good day to hike! Mount Garfield if anyone wants to join....

Home Depot

Oh home depot, why do you mock me?? I tried to install a simple sink in the bathroom today and after 4 trips to your store the damn sink is still not correctly installed and is leaking. Why must I go back to the store so many times? Why must your employees sell me the wrong stuff, even after I took pictures to show? why, why, why???

I feel like I wasted the day in the bathroom and at Home depot. But let me tell you sink, I have not given up on you yet. The day is not over yet. If someone finds a sink out in the middle of the road then you will know the sink won. But don't count on it! Back to the bathroom I go....

Blog it

Yes, yes, yes. I have decided to blog again. The blog I had when I was traveling across the country was one of the best things I ever did. Not sure exactly what this blog is going to be yet..... Will I up date it every day? every few days? every week? All I know is I am going to post some pictures and random thoughts that I have. I don't even care if anyone reads it.

Everyday is an adventure for me, so get ready!!!!!!!!
